Swags & Jabots
For generations, Swags and Jabots have adorned fine homes. Often seen in more formal room settings, this timeless window treatment style provides a classically elegant look that remains a "go to" choice of top decorators and interior designers.
All of our Pretty Windows Swags & Jabots are handcrafted from carefully selected decorator fabrics and made-to-order in our custom workroom. Free fabric swatches are available to help you decide and buy with confidence.

- How To Hang
Swags & Jabots are a pre-pleated overlapping window treatment designed to fit a 1" Double or Triple Curtain Rod Set. They may also be board mounted.
Swags
- Swags are sold individually
- Available in 3 widths: 29", 38", & 44"
- Swags have 5 folds and a 17" drop at the longest point in the center
- Fully lined
Jabots
- Sold as a pair
- Available in 3 standard lengths: 38", 45", & 63"
- Jabots have 4 pleats, and a 1½" rod pocket
- The face of Jabots is 12" - total width with the return is 15½"
- Jabots are lined and have a 9" band along the bottom. Depending on the style, this band may be of the same fabric as the face or a contrasting fabric
- Jabots are knife pleated with the pleats turned outward
- Our Jabots are made with a standard 3½" return, which works with the large majority of Double & Triple Curtain Rod Sets available in the marketplace. However, there are some rod sets with larger returns. Our Jabots can be special ordered with a different return depth. Please call (877-841-1315) and speak with one of our window experts if this is an issue.
Window width and personal preferences will determine the number of swags needed to dress your windows. Most often an uneven number of swags (1,3,5) results in the best look. However, in some cases, it will be necessary to use an even number of swags. It is recommended that the swags overlap in the same direction when hanging an even number (2,4,6) of swags.

Swags & Jabots are designed to fit 1" Double or Triple Curtain Rod Sets depending on the number of swags. They can also be board mounted. We offer our Swags and Jabots separately to give you maximum flexibility to dress your windows with a perfect fit.
Hanging (1) Pair of Jabots and (1) Swag on a Double Curtain Rod Set
Hanging Instructions
- Hang the pair of Jabots on the front rod (A) of a Double Curtain Rod Set
- Hang the Swag on the back rod (B)
- Center the Swag and then bring it over the top of front rod (A)
- Tuck the top rod pocket of the Swag behind so it is not visible
- Adjust the pleats of the Swag to hang neatly
Hanging (1) Pair of Jabots and (Multiple) Swags on a Triple Curtain Rod Set
Hanging Instructions
- Hang the pair of Jabots on front rod (A) of a Triple Curtain Rod Set
- Depending on the width of your window and personal preferences, hang your Swags on the center rod (B) and the back rod (C).
- Align all of the Swags so when they are brought over the front rod (A), they will overlap evenly
- It is important that you bring the Swags on the center rod (B) over the front rod (A) first
- Next bring the Swag(s) on the the back rod (C) over the top of both the center rod (B) and the front rod (A)
- Tuck the top rod pocket of the Swags behind so they are not visible, and then adjust the pleats of the your Swags to hang neatly
